5 Hacks for a Healthy Holiday

November is a month to celebrate with family and friends as we show gratitude and count our blessings. We all have so much to be thankful for, and good health is one of our most important blessings. Check out these five hacks for making your Thanksgiving holiday a happier and healthier one.

  1. Teaching our kids to be thankful is one of the best gifts and life skills we can provide as parents. 3. Start off your Thanksgiving holiday with a family road race. Running is a great way to kickstart the body and get your kids active together. To find a race in your neck of the woods, check RunningIntheUSA's local listing. Our two picks - the Franklin Park Turkey Trot in Boston on 11/24 and the Chill Classic 5K in Boston on 12/4.

  4. Cut back on the holiday stress by taking some time to reflect. Try these mindfulness exercises with your kids and explore these tips for surviving the holidays.

  5. Sneaking in some fitness moves during the holidays doesn't need to be a chore. Take the stairs, go ice skating or try our favorite workout - this 7-minute HITT Workout Challenge by Grokker is guaranteed to make you and the family break a sweat.
